Daddy is Maarit's favorite person these days! She loves to watch him, anything he does is fascinating. She loves his hair, his dancing, his singing and anything he says to her. She laughs and laughs when he acts silly for her--full belly laughs where she can hardly breath. It is precious to watch the two of them interact.
Maarit is learning lots of things from Daddy lately. Every night she watches while Daddy plays guitar for her. They have done this together since she was tiny. On this particular night she started fussing and when Daddy put her on his lap and set the guitar in front of her she put her hands on the guitar just as she would if she was playing. This picture is not staged! She was so intent on 'playing' it herself. It was adorable to watch her try to make the strings work. A budding rock star!
Maarit is also learning the advantages of a frosty mug. This one helps soothe her poor sore teeth. She's been working on teething for a while now. No teeth yet, not even any bumps, but they sure seem to bother her lately. A teething ring just isn't the same as a frosty beer mug.
More Maarit and Daddy playing guitar. She loves to watch his hands play and now wants to play for herself. They have to take turns these days.
Maarit is also learning how to use the computer. Notice they both have their bottles for this shot. Maarit bangs on the keyboard and loves to look at the computer if you have it open. We used to be able to hold her and do work, but not anymore. Now she wants to work too, gone are the days when we could get anything by her. She is very alert and wants to do everything these days! So big for a 5 month old!
