Maarit attended 4th of July festivities in Aurora with her cousins Chloe and Hanna. Maarit has since decided that anytime she sees a fire truck they must be going to give her candy.
This is a funny picture from a few weeks ago. We were getting ready to go on a walk one evening. I can't remember how she got naked, but she grabbed her shoes and put them on and insisted that she was ready to go for our walk. It was a bit of a struggle to get her into her clothes after that. I had to take a picture because it was funny how insistent she was that she was going out walking just like this:
Yesterday we checked out the Duluth Zoo with Nana. A lot of animals were off display, but Maarit enjoyed this bear.
This morning before the downpour we visited the depot in Two Harbors. Maarit likes trains this week because she's been reading a lot of Little Engine That Could. She likes to tell us that 'the blue engine helps the red engine!' It's been fun.
