Here is a picture of Maarit with the first thing she ever bought for herself. She saved up quarters (potty money!) and she bought a Cat Roller toy. She loves it! She's big on construction equipment. And, it has been a good addition to the beach toys for rolling a sand road flat.
Our Aurora friends had a going away party for us in late June. Here is Maarit with her friends Issac and Sean. They are Jer and Jen's boys...Justin was assistant coach for Jer with the boys basketball team for the past few years. Over the past few years Maarit has come to love her basketball time with these two boys. She and Issac are close in age and good pals, but Maarit has always had a special little spark for Sean. She lights up when she gets to see him and calls him 'my Sean'. It is quite adorable.
Maarit rides a paddle boat with the big girls (and they're little brothers).

Maarit and her mentor parents Merry and Craig and their son Aiden who has been Maarit's good pal since she was born.
Here are a few cute ones of Maarit and Sean..... look at that smile!

Fun in the Sun
We have been having so much fun visiting family and friends...I haven't been updating our blog. The summer, thus far, has been all about beaches, playgrounds, outside time, friends and family. It's been awesome!
Maarit rode in the 'kiddie parade' for Two Harbors Heritage Days. She decorated her bike and pulled her kitty and cow-raffe and deer. She was so proud. Only about a week before did she get to the point where she could ride this bigger trike all on her own.
Her smiley face in this parade made it onto the front page of the Two Harbors newspaper!

Dancing at a concert after the kiddie parade.
Pony rides.
As we were driving home from the 'kiddie parade' Maarit said that she was really hoping the next day would be the goat parade. .....It took us a minute. No wonder she wanted to pull her kitty in the parade.
