School!

These are pictures of Maarit loving her school days that I have taken from her class website.  We are so lucky her teacher Ms. Correen enjoys taking pictures, some of these absolutely make my day.  

This year Maarit has Ms. Correen and Ms. Caroline as teachers.  Ms. Caroline is new to ISS, she is from France and it is so much fun to see the French pre-school influence filtering into the classroom this school year.  There are currently 8 students in Maarit's class, ages 3 and 4.  Maarit is one of the oldest, so she is enjoying not taking naps and having lots of extra time with her teacher and a few of the other big kids. 

So far the class has taken a field trip to the beach and to a bird/animal park.   They have had a Share in Our Learning Day for the mommies to come to school and see what the children do each day.  (That was wonderful! We made an Elmer the Elephant together and Maarit sang for me!)  The class has had a special Teddy Bear picnic so Special Bear got to come and celebrate at school with Maarit.  

Maarit has been very happy at school. She is blossoming into quite the talkative and outgoing big girl in her class. It is so much fun to see her growing into her own, incredible self.
