Pumpkins

The weekend after Maarit's birthday, the little ones and I traveled down to River Falls area to attend the wedding of my friend Kevin.  Justin had to stay home and wait for a furnace repair man to call him back and he installed electricity in our new garage while he sorted that out.
The kids and I had tons of fun playing with cousin Emma on Friday night at Grandma and Grandpa's house.   We had  a lovely chicken wild rice soup dinner with Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Terry, Uncle Mark and Emma.

Grandma even got an ice cream cake for the birthday girl which was enjoyed by everyone.

The next day Grandpa gave tractor rides, which really is the highlight of Gus's visits to Grandpa and Grandma's house.

Maarit figures she can drive pretty well now.

Then Grandpa, Gus and Maarit and I went to a pumpkin patch and apple orchard and we had tons of fun picking pumpkins and apples and buying local salsa and sauces. Plus the cinnamon apple donuts there were amazing!

When we got our pumpkins home we had to do some major pumpkin carving. It was a first for Gus and he was super excited about the goo inside!

We made these lovelies for Halloween.

Halloween pictures coming soon!  We had a great evening with the Prazak family and it was Gus's first real trick or treating which was super fun.
