Adam requested some pictures in color so here they are! The top one is Maarit showing off where she gouged her eye. Ouch! In the middle she's wearing a special winter fuzzy hat a co-worker made. And the bottom is her new favorite thing...sauna time! Maarit went from hating bath time (Sponge baths pre-umbilical cord falling off) to loving them now that she can be in the tub of water. She used to cry during the whole bath process. Now she cries when she has to get out of the bath. =)
Today is her one month birthday. It's hard to believe it has been a whole month and yet it's hard to believe it's only been a month. Time is such a funny thing lately. Our days and nights are all flowing together! We catch each other doing funny sleep-deprived things like today Justin was walking around the house with two different shoes on and he hadn't noticed. =)
Maarit is getting taller and gaining weight. She definitely feels like a baby now and not a newborn. Maybe it feels that way because we're getting more used to her, but she definitely seems less breakable now.
Yesterday she had a baby shower from her Aunt Tarah and Nana Lorraine. She was spoiled with wonderful gifts from friends and family. She got to meet her great grandmother at the shower and that was special.
Things continue to be wonderful for us on our family adventure. =)
