Maarit's 4th of July Weekend

Maarit had a 4th full of visiting and fun! First stop, Adam and Nicole's house where she enjoyed everything TJ including trying to swim in his dog dish, spending time in his kennel and grabbing all his fluffy fur! (for a fun creative look at Maarit and TJ's adventures together check out Adam & Nicole's blog because their post is much better than mine!) Thanks Johnsons, for hosting us and showing Maarit such a fun time. Teddy Bear park next time for sure, she won't fall asleep on the way there next time, she promises.

Maarit and TJ in a rare moment when she wasn't trying to pull his fur or eat it!

4th of July day we spent with my family at my parent's house. Here is everyone trying to avoid the torrential downpour before the cook out.

Maarit enjoying the rain and watching her big cousins play.

After the rain, tractor rides were had by all who were old enough to go, Maarit is waiting until she's big enough to ride a tractor! Above, my brother Ryan and his son Braeden taking the tractor out for a spin.

Braeden and Maarit playing yellow ball after the sun came back out and the rain cleared away.

Maarit and her cousin Kendra.

Maarit's cousin Kiera and her new puppy Bella.

FISH! On the 5th we had a wonderful pancake breakfast (Maarit enjoyed them too!) at my parents and then off to our friends' the Secrists for another fun gathering. Maarit LOVED their fish pond. These big guys here are about 5 years old and pretty huge as far as 'goldfish' go.

Maarit also checked out Kathy and Rex's dirt, it was tasty.

A few more fish pond pictures. Somehow we didn't manage to get any pictures of friends during this party, all fish and splashing! Next time....the fish pond was a pretty big draw though.

After all that visiting and fun, Maarit came home and slept and slept. I am not sure that she has fully recovered yet. She is currently sleeping on my lap as I type this! Poor sleepy girl.
