Hopticopt
This is too cute! She saw a helicopter with her Nana and she just loved it and then started to ask for the "Hopticopt" so...here she is saying it. I thought it was too precious to miss.
In other news:
Maarit had a doctor's appointment yesterday and she was measured and weighed and all that fun stuff. When she was measured it was a pretty funny. The nurse laid her down and marked the top of her head and the bottom of her foot on the paper and measured between the marks. She said "35 1/2 inches, you're a tall girl!". I was shocked so I asked the nurse to measure again, we did and sure enough-- 35 1/2 inches. The Doctor came in and checked her out and then looked at the chart on the computer. She reacted with shock as well! She said, "that can't be right" and she showed me the chart....Maarit is making her own curve for height. It is insanely higher than a child her age (not yet 16 months) in the 90th %. The doctor insisted that Maarit be re-measured on the stable board so we had to go down the hall and measure her on the stable board. Twice. Maarit is 35 1/2 inches tall. Which means she had grown 3 1/2 inches since the beginning of November. And possibly she's grown that much since the beginning of January because we measured Maarit on the wall in January and she was 32 1/4 inches. We may have been a bit off because it's hard to know if she was standing as tall as she would if she was laying down, but still probably not that far off. I knew she was just suddenly starting to be too tall for her pants, but 3 + inches in a month, is that even possible?
