January seemed like it was going to be a really long month, but the weather was fine and we did a lot of skiing to pass the time. Maarit has rejoined the Minnesota Youth Cross Country ski school and she is really loving her Sunday ski class. She gets better and better every week and soon she will definitely be out-skiing me. Gus tries hard to keep up with his Ditty so any time she wants to ski, he is game....although he gets tired more quickly.
Maarit's purple level group is teaching her all about using her poles, so although she doesn't have them in this picture, she is starting to use them each lesson and she is getting pretty good at opposite arm and leg + glide.
Gus likes to try the hills his Ditty skis down.

When we weren't skiing in January, we were busy doing other things....like dressing up as fairy monster ballerinas and such.
Or skiing again...on this epic adventure we met some across the lake neighbors we had not met yet and, to be honest, who we are not too excited to meet again any time soon. Not the friendliest of folks.....
And as always in our house...we are usually busy with some form of half clothed dancing and jumping around craziness.... this one was a fun one to share.
