Although the pictures have not loaded in the correct order, these are fun photos from our visit to Koch's and Grandma and Grandpa's after Christmas.
We visited the Como Zoo after the overnight snowstorm. Many of the animals were out playing in the snow and the zoo was not busy at all. It was fun to be out and see the animals playing.
After our trip to the zoo, Gus looked like this:
Gus got this adorable remote control car for his birthday from the Kochs. This picture shows him kissing it. He loves this car and has played with it every day since. He wants it to come in the bath with him...
At Grandma and Grandpa's the theme was cup towers. Maarit and her cousins made towers all evening and all day long. Lots of fun.
Margo and Gus enjoyed playing together this time. He wasn't quite so afraid of her like he was this summer!
Maarit loved sledding in the snow, it was the first real sledding since our snow was so wet and then melted away. Even though she had a 'major' sledding accident with her cousin Emma and got a bloody lip, she thought sledding was the best time of the whole weekend!
Gus is pretty happy doing anything with Grandpa, but mostly he is all about TRACTOR RIDES! He was so excited when they went outside, he headed straight for the tractor shed. This time he and Grandpa got to plow and dump some snow. Gus thought that was amazing.
Maarit and Emma pre-sledding disaster!
These were the ones that got out of order. They are from our visit with Kochs playing in the snow.
...and at the zoo.
We had a wonderful Christmas break. The two weeks were so lovely and we all enjoyed our time off from school, chance to sleep in, visit family and play outside. We were lucky the weather was so warm and nice for skiing and playing outside. Our transition back to school and daycare has been busy, but relatively uneventful. Everyone is healthy and getting back into our routine which is as much as we can ask for during these freezing cold days!
