More Devastatingly Cute Bathtub Pictures and a Rainy Day Adventure

Maarit is a big fan of bath time. Anything that involves water really, but bath time especially. Here are more super cute happy girl pictures from last night's bath time.

This shampoo bottle was a big hit!

So that cuteness was last night. This morning we woke up to a rainy, summer stormy morning. And just like every morning Justin went first thing to put Karhu out for her morning time bark at nothing. But, he had to quickly shove Karhu back into the house because we had a little visitor to our backdoor. This poor little guy was huddled under some chairs left over from Maarit's special day. He was trying to stay out of the rain, but he was still getting wet.

We don't know where his mommy is. He could barely walk and was really hungry. We waited and waited, but his mommy never came back. We figured he must have come up to our house from the woods alone because although we have deer eat our gardens every chance they get we don't believe they'd choose our back door as a hiding place for their babies. Eventually we moved him to the wood shed and he was so hungry I made him a bottle and fed him. Then he felt a little better and got up and moved around. Sadly, we found another baby in our back woods also alone, a little smaller. My best guess is that mommy deer had twins and either abandoned them or didn't make it herself. Justin built a little shelter for them and we're keeping our eye out for them. Hopefully mommy deer will come back soon.

  1. That's crazy about the deer. He must have been very hungry to let you feed him. I hope he makes it! He picked good neighbors to help him out.
