Last weekend we celebrated birthday time with friends. Merry, Craig and Aiden treated us to a trip to the Duluth Aquarium. We had tons of fun checking out the fish, feeding them way too much food and playing in the water.
Maarit wouldn't touch the stingray, but insisted that Daddy should.
We had to step out on the deck to check for boats...a current passion of Maarit's, but no big boats that day.

And playing with the boats....we were hanging out at the boats for a long time. It's the coolest.
The next day Sarah and Ryan and Lucy came to visit so we had birthday dinner with Sarah to celebrate her 30th and Maarit got to spend more time with Lucy. Ryan and Lucy checked out the hammock.... a favorite addition to our yard this summer.
