Super Cousin Weekend Part 1

During the August 15th weekend my parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary, so we headed down to the River Falls/Cities area for the hugest cousin weekend ever! We swung by Nana and Papa's house to drop off Karhu for a vacation with the big dogs. On the way we saw this Triceratops rock at the Brimson public garage. It was a huge hit with Maarit of course!

Justin knows a guy whose father works for the Brimson garage and he said they found this rock in the middle of the woods and they decided to haul it to the garage and paint it. I am thinking that these guys are a little bored when there isn't 3 feet of snow to plow!

We stayed with Auntie Tarah, Uncle Kurt and cousins Chole and Hanna while we were in the area for the big party. Our first night we went to Justin's favorite Highland Park haunt....Grandpa Tony's. This wasn't Maarit's first time there by any means, but it was her first time as a big girl who could slurp spaghetti!

Playing with cousins ....cousins have the coolest toys...I think because they are not our own toys so they are more interesting.
On Saturday morning we took a trip to the Children's Museum. This was how Justin and Kurt looked before we went. Nice hair.
The Children's Museum was so much fun for Maarit. There were a ton of wonderful things for someone her age to do. Thank you cousins for coming with even though you've been before and had gone recently....Maarit loved it.
Daddy had some fun too.
Maarit insisted we all wear these hats.
She loved the shopping and town area.
But by far the cutest was the stage where kids could sing karaoke and watch themselves be in a music video. Maarit had a ball with this one.
Three rocking girls!
Hooray for big cousins! Thanks for the fun time!
