This was a big week for Maarit: She discovered that Valentine's Day = lots of sweet treats and she started planning how many swimming suits she will need for our trip to Scotland (she has decided on 4 because we will be there for 4 days). Today she had a student-led conference at her classroom with Mommy and Daddy. Maarit presented all the things she has learned (colors, numbers, alphabet, writing, circle time and more) to us- it was incredibly awesome to see all the cool things she does in her days at preschool.
Her week was also a bit sad, she had to say goodbye to her good friend Rory (her first ever "best friend") who is moving back to the United States. Her class held a big party in honor of friendship, farewell and kindness.

I love the sideways eyes look. Maarit uses this whenever she is thinking about something or when she is not quite sure about something.

School continues to go well for her. Today Ms. Sheila (her teacher) said that she is doing really well in class. She is a good listener and she is very smart! However, Ms. Sheila would like her to work on being more outgoing and confident with her peers when she is participating in the group. That makes me smile... In that aspect she is definitely more like her Daddy----super shy and quiet in big social situations and at home....super silly!
