Some of these are pictures from just before Christmas, but I wanted to include them before we end the year and make our 2013 Blog Book!
This picture is of Gus out on the Mesabi East basketball floor after a recent game. He saw the bigger kids out there after the game and just had to get out there to join them. Of course I am thinking of how sweet this will be if he ever does decide to play basketball at Mesabi East....
Before our weekend in the Twin Cities last week we stopped at Bentleyville to see the lights. It was a horribly freezing cold night, so we literally ran through the park! We are hoping that next year it will be warmer so we can take the little ones to really enjoy all the beautiful lights.
We had a lot of fun sledding at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The snow was deep and slow so it was much better for Maarit. She is a little nervous of fast snow!
She got help from Grandpa getting down and up the hill.
Gus enjoyed all the snow too. He likes sledding, but he likes eating the snow even more!

On Christmas Day we took a family snowshoe. Maarit tried out her new snowshoes and she did an excellent job snowshoeing and pulling her brother.

Just like a little Norwegian baby, Gus fell asleep for a cozy nap while we snowshoed. Unlike our Norwegian friends, we brought him inside afterward. True Norwegians would have left him in the snow to sleep, I can't quite make that cultural leap.
We are hoping that the weather will take a turn for the better so we can spend more time exploring our frozen lake. Come up and play with us some weekend, friends and family!
