On Christmas day, after Santa and stockings, we spent the day celebrating Gus's 1st Birthday! We went for a snowshoe and played outside, we played in the ball pit and enjoyed all of our Christmas gifts. In the afternoon we had a special Gus friendly lunch, he is a big fan of meat and potatos! After dinner we had cake. Gus loves ice cream and whip cream so this cake was mostly homemade whip cream!
At some point during the cake face shove some of the cake went down his shirt, he spent a lot of time looking for it and trying to get the cake out.
Gus had help opening his presents from big sister. He was, at that point, pretty exhausted by presents.
So some of them ended up being for sitting on rather than opening!
His great Auntie sent him this adorable hat, that he refuses to keep on his head- we are determined to win that battle, we keep putting it on him.
By 4:30 on Christmas evening, this is what was happening in our house.....sleepy, sleepy big sister, sleepy, sleepy, sleepy baby birthday boy.
It was a wonderful Christmas and Birthday.
