We had such beautiful weather the whole week before and during Memorial Day. It was paradise living on a lake and watching our big yard come to life. All the trees grew their leaves and the grass is green. It has been awesome. Now the mosquitos have hatched and that is not as awesome, but we are learning to deal with getting bit up AND have fun in the garden and on our beach.
Over Memorial weekend the Koch's came to visit us. The first morning they were here, Gus discovered their dog Mazie's crate. He liked it. We considered having him live in there but when we told him
he made this sad face so we got him out. It could have worked and really he is more like a wild dog than a little person sometimes...but I guess that we'd miss his kiss/face smacks too much.
We enjoyed many a Kubb game over the weekend. Justin, of course, took his game very seriously, but we ladies beat the pants off the guys tons of times so I think he is just trying to look good.
Maarit and Gus enjoyed every minute with their cousins. They swam, fished, set up tents, read stories and played hard each day!
This picture is from Maarit's last day of Kindergarten....soooooo tired.
Our first few days of summer looked like this. Bonked heads and lots of sibbling love/rivalry.
Maarit started Tball and swimming this week! We are going to have such a fun summer...well minus the bonked heads and sibling rivalry.
