Uncle Bubs and Auntie Shanna's Wedding!

Last weekend was one of the most incredible weekends in my life and hopefully Maarit will look back and love it as much as I did. My brother Kristopher (Bubs) was married to the love of his life, my new sister, and Maarit's new auntie (truly his perfect person) on Saturday. It was a beautiful ceremony and a very emotional weekend for us as our last in the country. It was an opportunity to say good bye to many loved ones --extended family and friends, an entire weekend with our immediate families and a chance to meet and reunite with mine and Kristopher's biological sister, Stephanie. I am so thankful to have had the chance to spend our last weekend in the States surrounded by so much love and happiness.

Maarit got to spend a lot of time with my and Kristopher's biological sister (we haven't seen her for 22 years...far too long, but thank goodness for facebook and reunification)--it was absolutely wonderful to be with her and have her meet all of our family and be there for Bub's special day.

It was the best way I could ever imagine to spend our last weekend in the US. Thank you Bubs and Shanna for making us a part of your wedding. You two are amazing and we are so thankful for you. Thank you Mom and Dad for having us and Stephanie as your guests. Thank you to the rest of my family and Justin's family for all your help and kindness during our last few days, we can not wait to see you again during our breaks. We can not wait for you to come visit us in our new home!
