We have had a wonderful time playing at the lake(s) with friends over the past few weeks. Our Iron Range friends were kind enough to host a party for us at their home on Bass Lake last weekend. Maarit had a fantastic time with the 20+ children present and the endless opportunity for lake adventures -including her first ever tubing experience. We stayed with our friend Lindsey while we were visiting the area and Maarit very much enjoyed quality time with her favorite big girl friend.

Daddy reported that she kept doing the signal for faster, faster, FASTER. She said later that it was great except "I wanted him to make it go really, really fast!" Danger Mouse extrodinaire.

Today we had a visit from Ryan and Sarah and Lucy. We ventured down to Lake Superior for a very windy hike. It was a fun day to capture the waves in family pictures.

So far our summer has been filled with relaxing visits and a focus on spending as much time near the water as possible. We have been lucky to reconnect with many dear friends in the Northland area over the past few weeks.
